Who doesn't love seeing the wildlife in YNP?
That is certainly one of the main draws for us! But while we get enthralled looking at scraggly bison; majestic elk; and if you're extremely lucky -- a grizzly bear; you can't forget about the little creatures that are scurrying around underneath the canopy of the tall lodgepole pines:
Baby Bison are such cuties! Have you ever watched them running around, kicking up their heels?
You have to be quick to catch a photo of a ground squirrel!
Especially if he’s hiding under a rock!
I know this photo is blurry, but the jack rabbit wasn’t going to wait around to pose for a photo!
Look at the size of his feet! I hope they’ll keep him lucky!
After a long, hard winter, this Yellow Bellied Marmot is very happy
to find a warm place on a rock.
This little guy is hoping he won’t become dinner for the coyote that was lurking near-by.
I know! He can make a quick, water escape!
And finally, we can’t forget about the small winged creatures that beautify the skies.
This is a particular favorite and will always remind me of my mom:
The Mountain Bluebird.
They bring a bit of sunshine to the greyest day!

These are so beautiful! Have you thought of putting together a coffe table book? And what's that font? It looks familiar - I love it!
Hey Val! I love your new blog. The photos are AMAZING! How did you get that blue bird so blue? You must have an amazing camera! Just kidding, but the photos are great. Keep up the great work. I really miss my back yard....
I love Acacia's idea--it would be a lovely book.
